Stilwell won it's first NOAA Championship in 1941. Stigler was beaten 7-6 by Checotah and fell later to Wagoner. Checotah finished the circuit with an identical 6-1 as Stilwell, but the Indians claimed the Conference crown on the strength of their head-to-head match up with the Wildcats. Stilwell won that game
