9/9/77 - Stilwell beats Sallisaw at James Bradley Athletic Park. It stands today as
the last time the Indians have beaten the
Diamonds.

As was the case in 1955 and 1971, the only other years Stilwell made the playoffs, they would face the eventual State-Runner Up.
This streak would be broken in 1980 when Sallisaw failed to finish second. No, no, the Black Diamonds went on to win the first of their back-to-back titles. In 1982 Stilwell would get back to losing to the State Runner-Up in Bristow.
In 1988 the #1 ranked Indians were upset by Runner-up Broken Bow and in 1989 would lose to State Champion Broken Bow.
