In 1979 Keith and Darrell Neale are hired by DJ owner/editor Sam Love as sportswriters. This first season Charles Crozier goes to the road games to keep stats. Keith and Darrell cover the home games. The one exception is the 10/19 Muldrow game. While Darrell traveled with the team in high school as a manager, this is Keith's first road game outside of the trip to Westville every other year.
